Doctors Without Borders, known by its acronym MSF, is warning of escalating violence around El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur State, and a severe malnutrition emergency in Zamzam displacement camp. MSF is calling on Sudan's warring parties—the Sudan Armed Forces, the Rapid Support Forces, and allied armed groups—to safeguard civilians and aid workers. With 30% of children in Zamzam acutely malnourished, the French medical charity emphasizes the dire humanitarian situation. Nabeel Biajo spoke with Claire Nicolet, MSF's emergency response lead in Sudan, to shed light on the situation.
