Committee to Protect Journalists calls for Ethiopian journalist prison release

May 3rd is World Press Freedom Day, and Ethiopian journalist Muhiyadin Mohamed Abdullahi, arrested almost a month ago, faces up to five years in prison for posting reports and commentary on his Facebook page. Muthoki Mumo, sub-Saharan African director for the Committee to Protect Journalists, tells VOA’s Carol Van Dam that the CPJ is calling for Abdullahi’s unconditional release.
