Climate Change Fuels Extremism in Sahel: Niger’s President

Niger's President Mohamed Bazoum told the U.N. General Assembly on Thursday that climate change triggered many young shepherds to turn to extremist groups in the Sahel region. Bazoum also pointed out that the security situation in southern Libya is making the region more unstable.
