Church leaders from South Sudan's Upper Nile State are calling on the government to intervene to end the ongoing conflict between SPLA-IO factions in Upper Nile State, which has displaced thousands. Father Paolino Tipo Deng, head of the religious groups from Upper Nile, says fighting in parts of the state continues to rage, killing and displacing people.
