In Burundi, the leader of the main opposition National Freedom Council party, Agathon Rwasa, said the decision by the government to suspend the party’s operations is yet another example the country is still being ruled by dictatorship. The government announced this week that it was suspending the party’s operations because of irregularities within the party for ousting members who had opposed the party leader. Rwasa tells Daybreak Africa host James Butty, the government is supporting some opposition members to weaken the party.
