British authorities Thursday responded with disappointment to a ruling by the London Court of Appeal that blocked government plans to follow through on a deal with Rwanda focused on sending asylum seekers to the East African nation.
Britain’s interior minister, Suella Braverman, described the ruling as “disappointing” but said government remains adamant on seeing the deal come to fruition, while doing “whatever it takes to stop the boats,” in reference to illegal migrants.
