Biden Attempts to Broker for Gaza Aid Amid Israel-Hamas Conflict

U.S. President Joe Biden was in Israel on Wednesday to show “ironclad” support for Israel amid ongoing hostilities with Hamas militants — a war that has left over 2.2 million people in Gaza in desperate need of aid.
While addressing reporters on his trip, Biden said he succeeded in persuading Israel to allow aid to enter Gaza from Egypt,. However, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office says the Middle East nation will not allow the transfer of aid from its territory to Gaza until Israeli hostages are freed.
