The recently concluded African Union (AU) summit convened in Ethiopia facilitated discussions on several issues facing the continent including trade, climate change and security. VOA’s Nabeel Biajo spoke to Joseph Siegle, director of research at the Africa Center for Strategic Studies. They discussed insecurity in South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and why the summit upheld the AU suspensions against military governments in Sudan, Mali, Burkina Faso and Guinea despite their efforts to lift the suspensions.
