Angola's foreign minister, Tete Antonio, is hailing the renewed focus of the Lobito Corridor project as an important infrastructural measure for the country and a significant boost to regional integration. The Lobito Corridor is a railway project stretching from the Angolan port of Lobito on Africa’s Atlantic coast to the city of Kolwezi in the Democratic Republic of Congo, which contains one of the largest mining deposits in the world. It underscores Washington's strategy to reduce global dependency on China’s mineral supplies. Tete Antonio talks with VOA's Peter Clottey about his country’s important infrastructure project and more.
