Analysis: Voting concludes in Somaliland

Polls have officially closed in the breakaway region of Somaliland Thursday, allowing officials to begin to tally results for a variety of new leadership positions. VOA’s Esther Gtihui-Ewart spoke to Nancy Wambura, a Somaliland resident, for an account of how the process of vote counting has been proceeding, and how leaders are looking to court international recognition to become an independent country.
