Daniele Darlan, a professor and former president of the Constitutional Court of the Central African Republic, was one of this year's International Women of Courage award recipients, recognized for not buckling under pressure when authorities tried to tamper with the country’s constitution. She sat down with VOA’s Salem Solomon and shared her perspective of why the rule of law is important.
