A high-level African delegation Friday visited the Ukrainian town of Bucha, the site of one of the biggest massacres of civilians by Russian forces in the Ukraine war. The leaders viewed a photo exhibit Inside Bucha's white-washed St. Andrew’s Church, showing grisly images of bodies that were found lying in the streets in March last year, days after Russian troops were driven out by Ukrainian forces. The African peace delegation, which includes leaders from South Africa, Senegal, Zambia, the Comoros and Egypt, is visiting Ukraine seeking agreement on a series of "confidence building measures" between the warring factions and to ensure exports of Russian fertilizer that Africa desperately needs and grain from Ukrainian ports.
