The three companies include GrowAgric, Shopa and Healthbotics, chosen from 10 continental finalists, were first selected from 1,700 candidates in 50 African countries.
Intended to “promote talent in the African region,” the contest highlights innovators that have developed digital solutions to improve lives in their communities, according to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Winners of the competition will be announced in December at the U.S.-Africa Leaders’ Summit and Business Forum in Washington.
