Malawi government officials, road engineers, and road safety specialists have cited human behavior and poor road conditions as major factors fueling accidents on Malawi’s M1-Road, the oldest road network in the southern African nation. Constructed in phases between the 70s and 80s, the road has become a hotspot for fatalities and injuries. VOA’s Jamal Prince Jamal reports from Lilongwe.
