The United Nations reports around 733 million people – or one in 11 people – are going hungry because of conflicts, climate change and economic downturn, including more than six million people across the Lake Chad region. Kenya’s High Court today rejected a request by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s lawyers to stop the senate from debating an impeachment motion against him after the lower house in parliament voted to remove him from office last week.
