The 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly is under way in New York City, kicking off with what's being called the Summit of the Future to look at ways to modernize the U.N. Ahead of the U.N. gathering, Kenyan President William Ruto arrived in Haiti, over the weekend, where a Kenyan police deployment is leading U.N. efforts to battle gangs that have brought the country to its knees.
