There have been new blasts in Lebanon, a day after exploding pagers killed at least 12 people and wounded almost 3,000 in Lebanon, in an attack widely blamed on Israel. The United Nations Security Council and the United States have called for an immediate cessation of hostilities and the withdrawal of all belligerents in Sudan’s El Fasher, but the Rapid Support Forces continue to press the assault. Kenya’s Ministry of Health says more than 6,000 women die in the country each year due to poor access to maternal health facilities, but university students have developed new technology to help mothers.
