As the world observes the U.N. International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances, human rights activists and his family are demanding answers about Zimbabwe activist Itai Dzamara, missing since 2015. Figures from the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute show military spending for countries in the Middle East and North Africa totaled $252 billion in 2023, 12 percent higher than 2022 and almost double the world growth rate.
