Africa News Tonight: The UN World Food Program warns more than 2 more million people in Sudan could be pushed into hunger in the next few months because of the continued fighting between two military factions in the country. Financial institutions are bankrolling hundreds of new fossil fuel projects across Africa, at the same time as donors give the continent billions of dollars to switch to green energy. And, UN members attending an emergency session on Sudan at the UN Human Rights Council Thursday adopted a resolution condemning the human rights violations committed in relation to the 2021 military takeover of Sudan and the conflict that broke out on April 15, 2023.
