On Africa News Tonight: South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir Monday suspended peace talks with holdout rebel groups that have been taking place in Rome, a verdict reached after Kiir accused those groups of continuing attempts to “destabilize the country.” Separatist groups in Cameroon’s western regions Monday commenced enforcing a 24-hour curfew, as a means of responding to President Paul Biya who in his New Year’s Eve speech said local forces are crushing rebel groups.
