South Sudan in Focus: Parliamentary support workers are condemning a decision by the clerk of South Sudan’s National Legislative Assembly to suspend at least 10 of the support staff at the national legislature who protested delayed incentives; Parents and child rights activists in the Western Equatoria State capital, Yambio are expressing concern over the detentions of more than 20 teenagers in the area; A Human Rights Watch report on the recent violence in West Darfur State, which killed hundreds and displaced thousands, faults the Sudan government for failing to protect civilians. The rights group says the United Nations must increase its monitoring and reporting on the situation in Darfur.
