The 2022 FIFA World Cup trophy has begun a global tour in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates. The trophy will be shown in more than 50 countries and territories ahead of football's premier event, which kicks off in Qatar on November 21.
VOA's Gwen Outen will have a report on the trophy tour on Thursday's show. Also, Sonny gives a Sonny Side of Sports salute to the late, great basketball player Bob Lanier, who died Tuesday at 73 after a short illness.
