Ali Muhammad Ali Abd-Al-Rahaman (Ali Kushayb) pleaded not guilty to charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity he allegedly commanded and participated in in Sudan’s Dafur region. Kushayb’s trial kicked off Tuesday at the International Criminal Court; South Sudan’s Troika countries (U.S., U.K., Norway) have welcomed a security agreement on a unified command for forces belonging to the SPLM ̶ In Government, the SPLM ̶ In Opposition, and the South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA).
