Sudanese activists and human rights defenders have welcomed Monday’s decision by the U.S. Treasury Department to sanction Sudan’s Central Reserve Police for using excessive violence against peaceful protesters in Sudan; A dispute between the SPLM-In Government, SPLM-In Opposition and the South Sudan Opposition Alliance over the leadership of the country’s unified security forces is delaying implementation of security arrangements stipulated in the revitalized peace agreement; A delegation from Sudan’s South Kordofan State is in Aweil, capital of South Sudan’s Northern Bahr el Ghazal state, to discuss peace between the Dinka Malual and the Misseriya communities
