On Thursday's show, Sonny once again has lots of Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) football news from Cameroon. But the program begins in Kenya, where President Uhuru Kenyatta and other top officials are stepping up efforts to address gender-based violence in sports. Reuben Kyama has a report from Nairobi. Last October, the murder of Agnes Tirop, one of Kenya's top female distance runners, made headlines in Africa and all over the world. In the photo, Kenyan athletes and mourners throw flowers towards the coffin in memory of Tirop during her funeral.
