French President Emmanuel Macron has cancelled his trip to Mali due to the deteriorating health situation in France amid spread of the omicron variant. For International Edition, VOA's Jackson Mvunganyi spoke to reporter Catherine Field in Paris who said Macron was due to address the French military pullout in Maii.
