Malawi's President Denies Trying to Pacify Activists

The Malawi Nyasa Times reported that President Lazurus Chakwera offered human rights activists foreign service positions as a way of keeping the group quiet. For Daybreak Africa, VOA's James Butty spoke to presidential spokesperson Sean Kampondeni who said Chakwere is not trying to stifle dissent.
