Scientists recently announced that they not only detected elusive gravitational waves, predicted by Albert Einstein, but also visually observed the cosmic event that created them. Benjamin Shappee (University of Hawaii) and Anthony Piro (Carnegie Observatories), two of the astronomers who were among the first to observe the event, join host Rick Pantaleo to talk about this breakthrough and its significance in the science community.
