The image of an African woman holding a hand hoe or carrying a basket of fruits on her head has become an entrenched symbol of women in the Agriculture industry in Africa. In reality, these women deserve much more credit than this depiction. On this edition of Our Voices, we’ll take a closer look at the misrepresentation of African women in agriculture, and how many of them are shaping the industry through innovations. And , they are no longer just farmers. We now refer to them as – Agri-entrepreneurs.
