US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has appointed Tom Perriello as the new U.S. Special Envoy for Sudan. Perriello previously served as the US Special Envoy for the Great Lakes and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Blinken said Perriello will lead US efforts to address the ongoing crisis in Sudan.
