Senegal’s President Faye dissolves parliament, seeks snap polls
Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye has dissolved the opposition-led National Assembly. President Faye has called for new legislative elections on November 17. The French News Agency reports that government programs had been hampered by the lack of a majority in parliament. Senegalese political analyst Ibrahima Kane tells VOA’s James Butty, President Faye has the constitutional right to dissolve the legislature
