Paralympian’s push for recognition a UN summit
A trio of Paralympic athletes from Malawi, Uganda and the United Kingdom is advocating for the voices of youth with disabilities to be heard at the upcoming United Nations’ Summit of the Future, scheduled for September in New York. Their campaign, along with support from the international charity Sightsavers, emphasizes the importance of including the voices of disabled youth in discussions about the U.N.’s Sustainable Development Goals at the summit.
