Nigeria’s Team Stuns Australia in 3-2 Win at Women’s World Cup
Nigeria produced the first major shock of the Women’s World Cup as they won Australia 3-2 on Thursday, leaving the tournament’s co-hosts stunned. The team now has four points and occupies first place in Group B. They will need to either win or draw during their July 31 match against Ireland, which is out of contention in the tournament after losing to Australia and Canada.
