Liberian Celebrity Rules Out Endorsing President Weah’s Re-Election
In Liberia, anticipation is building for Monday’s speech by political commentator and radio talk show host Henry Costa. Costa, once an avid supporter of former Vice President Joseph Boakai, has been silent since Boakai named a running mate for the October presidential elections. There has been speculation that Costa was not pleased that Boakai did not choose him as his partner in the race. There are also rumors Costa could announce his support for another candidate. Costa tells Daybreak Africa host James Butty, while he doesn’t want to let the cat out of the bag before his speech, one thing is clear: he will not be endorsing the re-election of President George Weah.
