Kenya’s Deputy President Gachagua faces Senate after impeachment
The impeachment trial of Kenya’s Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is expected to take place this week in the Kenyan Senate. He was impeached in the House of Representatives for alleged corruption, undermining the authority of the president, and financing the recent anti-tax protest, among other charges. TUKO, Kenya’s largest online news website, reported Sunday that President Ruto and Gachagua have not been seen together in public since last week’s impeachment debate.
