In this edition of Straight Talk Africa, host Shaka Ssali has an in-depth conversation with Joseph Masembe, CEO of the civic organization Little Green Hands in Uganda about the effects of climate change on the continent.
Experts say Africa will be hit hard by climate change. Flooding and drought continually plague certain regions. Hundreds of millions of people depend on rainfall to grow their food and scientists predict significant decreases in rain over North and South Africa by the end of this century. Also, the continent’s capacity for adaptation to climate change is low due to poverty and poor governance.
