East African countries unite to fight cartels, crime around Lake Victoria
Officials from East African countries are meeting in Kenya to discuss ways of fighting transnational and organized crime around Lake Victoria. The representatives from Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda want to strengthen port border management to stop unauthorized fishing, illegal tree-cutting, human trafficking and other illegal activities.
