Despite Uncertainty, Church Leader Urges Christians to Remain Faithful
Christians around the world are celebrating Christmas on December 25 at a time many describe as uncertain, given political conflicts in parts of Africa, the Middle East and elsewhere. However, the head of the Vatican, Pope Francis, and leaders of various churches continue to press the message of hope and peace. For more, VOA's Esther Githui-Ewart spoke to the Rev. Gibrilla Bangura, founder and senior pastor of Christ is the Lord International Church, in the U.S. state of Virginia, who is calling on Christians to remain faithful.
