Our Voices 520: Chibok Girls: Bring Back Our Girls to What?
On this episode of Our Voices, we will take a closer look at the impact of the global #BringBackOurGirls campaign nine years since Boko Haram militants kidnapped 276 girls in Chibok, Borno State, Nigeria. Although more than half have been released or escaped, nearly 100 remain in captivity. We also look at the impact of the campaign in the region, how the girls and their families were affected - and the role of social media in bringing awareness to the cause.
